Wissahickon night time snow hike- anything goes edition..:)

**6:15 SHARP departure**
This hike is a replacement for the previously scheduled Manayunk Staircase Hike given the snow storm . This will NOT be like our normal Wissahickon night hikes. This WILL be more of an adventure- IYKYK. I have no way of knowing just how the trail conditions will be. So plan for sloppy, wet and slippery.
Make sure to have proper footwear- waterproof boots if you have them and wool socks. Traction devices for sure...I will not "police " this, but you are on your own if you can't keep up due to lack of equipment. WE WILL exercise some patience if you are an experienced hiker with the proper equipment and are simply struggling a little due to the slippery conditions/microspikes not working due to slushy conditions.
Style will be as follows: a little slower going then our usual, definitely fun and silliness, challenging snow climbs and descents, We will keep a nice flow, BUT there will be times where we may have to wait a couple minutes for all to get over an obstacle safely. It will be worth it...the focus is on fun this evening.
I am not sure of mileage as conditions will dictate pace. We will shoot for time instead.
Gear required: hiking footwear as there will be plenty of rocks and roots and HEADLAMPS - Red lights if possible, but ok if you need white light. Microspikes .
PARKING AND MEETING LOCATION: See Meetup location Pin. Cathedral Rd trailhead just below Wissahickon Ave. Please park on opposite side of street from houses.
