Lake Wallenpaupack Camping

Join us for a fun Weekend of Camping at beautiful Lake Wallenpaupack. Activities planned will include a hike, campfire, cookout and a Kayaking / SUP event on the Lake which is accessible from the campground. Partake of as many events as you choose or just relax.

Wilsonville Recreational Camping Area is a very nice campground at the northeast end of Lake Wallenpaupack with well maintained sites, clean bathrooms and shower facilities. The sites are wooded and close to the lake. There is also a wooded walking path along the Lake that takes you to the Dam in one direction and the spillway in the other (Great place to watch the usually fabulous sunsets).

It is the responsibility of each camper to make their own reservations with the campsite and to pay the campground directly.
Call 570-226-4382 to make your reservation (calling between 10:00 and 2:00 usually gets the campground staff without having to leave a message). Let them know you are with Outdoor Adventure Friends so they put us in sites near each other.
You must be camping to attend this event! It is not a hangout for the day type of activity.

Note: Pets are not allowed and only one car allowed per site.

For those who may need a dose of civilization, the town of Hawley is a cute small quintessential Pennsylvania town with a number of unique Mom & Pop stores.

Items to bring:
Tent, tarp for under tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, camp chair, waterbottles, food, cooler, hiking boots, water shoes, kayak, SUP, Personal Floatation Device, dry bag for watersports, sunscreen, bug spray (although breeze across the lake minimizes bugs; not usually an issue).

There is an IGA Supermarket and a CVS about a mile west on Route 6.
The Camp store is well stocked (has ice and well seasoned firewood) & there is a hardware store a 1/4 mile away that specializes in outdoor & camping items.
