Horsham Power Line Trail 5-6 Miles 3mph 100ft of elevation
Details
Now that the sunset is too early for a decent hike at Valley Forge, we’ll continue our 2026 Monday Evening Hiking Season at alternate locations. This week's hike will be on the Horsham Power-Line Trail. This will be a relatively easy 5 - 6 mile hike on mostly flat ground. We'll be moving at around 3 mph but will only have about 50 to 100ft of elevation change, so it's one of the easier hikes I host.
Meeting Time is 5:20, so we have time for introductions before the Hike.
Please try to be on time so we can Start Hiking Promptly at 5:30. We'll be walking on the trail, through a neighborhood and a business park.
This hike will be mostly on a trail and sidewalks so sneakers are fine.
It will be dark by the end of the Hike, so a headlamp or flahlight is recomended.
Definitely recommend hydrating before the hike and bring some water and a snack if you see fit. We will make a few brief pauses to adjust layers and get a sip of water. Note: This is not a slow stroll, (3 mph is a quick, city walking pace), if you are off the pace, you will need to find the way back to the parking lot on your own.
Friendly Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a static length leash at all times.
GUEST and ATTENDANCE POLICY: All attendees must be members of Outdoor Adventure Friends. This is for communication purposes to ensure that those in attendance understand exactly what they are signing up for. Please be courteous and change your rsvp in a timely fashion if you can no longer attend this event.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are running late, group message us before 5:20 so I can let you know where to meet us. I cannot read or reply to messages once we start.
NOTICE: Meetup organizers are not professionally trained. By attending this event you agreeing that YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY AT ALL TIMES. No member of the group EXCEPT YOURSELF can be held responsible for any damages, accidents or liabilities incurred while hiking with us.
By signing up you accept responsibility for your own safety.
Next week's hike in Willow Grove will build upon this one with a lot more elevation.
