Details

Notice the 10:30 am start time!

Join us on this trip down the Delaware River, from Riegelsville to Tinicum Park. Meet at the Riegelsville Boat Access ramp (address: 15 Old River Rd, Milford, NJ 08848), organize the shuttle to Tinicum Park Boat Launch on the Pennsylvania side (address: 963 River Rd, Upper Black Eddy, PA 18972) and then we will return and put in at Riegelsville Boat Access ramp (address: 15 Old River Rd, Milford, NJ 08848). We will park our cars at the Tinicum Park parking lot across the street.

This is a wide river with some obstacles, depending on the level of water. This is a trip for all levels of skill even beginners. We pass under several bridges and paddle past the Pennsylvania Palisades. It is an interesting river.

We will be stopping along the way for lunch and swimming per the groups’ preferences. It is sunny and wide, and the river moves about three miles per hour. The weather is anticipated to be good.

REQUIREMENTS:
-water
-sunscreen
-hat
-lunch
-pfd (life jacket) -- this is mandatory!
-change of clothes
-collapsible chair recommended
-hand sanitizer or wipes
-a flexible approach to the new normal!

OCSJ Guidelines include:

  1. Paid members are given priority. Guests can come for their first trip but may be bumped to the waiting list. You will receive an email if that is the case.
  2. The shuttle will be organized among participants, but it is important to note that it is not part of the club activity. Getting into a vehicle with other people is a personal choice, and masks are strongly encouraged for the non-vaccinated!
  3. If you have RSVP’d to attend and cannot, please be courteous and cancel so others can attend. Do this at least 24 hours before the activity starts time.
