Join us on this trip down the Delaware River, from Bushkill Boat Launch on the PA side to Worthington State Park Boat Ramp in New Jersey. We will meet at the Bushkill Boat Launch ramp (address: Bushkill Boat Launch, Route 209/Federal Road, Lehman Pennsylvania 18324), organize the shuttle to Worthington State Park on the NJ side (address: 98 Old Mine Rd, Columbia, NJ 07832) and then we will return and put in at the Bushkill Boat Launch on the PA side. We will park our cars at the Worthington Park parking lot. This is a wide river that runs swiftly, depending on the level of water. This is a trip for all levels of skill, even beginners. This trip travels through the Delaware Water Gap National Reserve and exits at New Jersey's Worthington State Park. It is an interesting, scenic river and not to be missed.
We will be stopping along the way for lunch and breaks per the groups’ preferences. It is flat and wide, and the river moves about four miles per hour. The weather is typically good this time of year.
Not sure about traveling in this area? Call or text Charlie for an earlier meetup time at Worthington State Park and we can caravan to Bushkill Boat Launch.
If you have never paddled the Delaware but have long had an interest in it, this is a great trip to get you started! It covers some of the most beautiful parts of the Delaware, including traveling through the Gap.

The trip is full
Please take your name off of the "attend" list, if you were unable to get a Chalfonte reservation.
This year we have a new method for making a reservation to go on the Cape May Trip - May 31 to June 2nd weekend trip. To attend, you must comply with the following:
- MEMBERSHIP: You and your roommate must be members of the Outdoor Club of South Jersey in good standing.
- RESERVE YOUR ROOM: Use the following link to reserve your room.
o The Chalfonte Hotel will call to get your information: credit card number, name and email address.
o The entire amount must be paid by you at that time with a credit card.
o Any financial arrangements between you and your roommate are your responsibility to work out among yourselves. The hotel will not accept split payments.
3. EMAIL THE LEADERS: Let us know that you have booked a room. Email JRBodnar@verizon.netwith the following information: type of room you have booked, your name and any roommates name.
4. Click the “attend” button on the OCSJ MeetUp site. A necessary step for messaging information to attendees, and so that others can see who is going.
In past years, we have had more members wanting to go than there are rooms available. Thus, to be fair to everyone, rooms are on a first come first serve basis and you should act promptly. Last year all the rooms were taken in the first 9 days or so.
You cannot reserve a block of rooms or a room for someone else. Each club member and Roommate combined is only entitled to reserve one room total.
If you do not have a valid reservation, you are not permitted to participate in the club weekend trip. Do not try to contact the hotel to make other arrangements than the above.
The only type of rooms and cost is as below:
A. Room for 2 with 2 beds and private bath. $680
B. Room for 2 with 1 bed and private bath. $600
C. Room for 1 with 1 bed and private bath. $ 412 note: 2 people cannot stay in a single room.
The above costs include 2 breakfasts and 2 three course dinners.
You cannot have any additional people stay over in your room or at meals. The hotel is completely nonsmoking, and no outside alcohol is permitted.
We realize the above instructions are long and detailed but they are necessary in light of the questions raised by participants in prior years.
Thanks for your participation.
