Hike Washington Lake Pk brisk fast quick pace 3 to 3.5 miles

We will explore Washington Lake Park on some paved and some unpaved trails for about 3 to 3.5 miles. This will be an 18-20-minute fast pace. Suggest hiking boots or hiking shoes/sneakers as there can be some wet areas. Hats and sunglasses, as well as we will be walking out of the woods in sections.

I don't normally see them at this park for almost 25 years, but I still do strongly suggest any tick or insect repellent you are comfortable with. I have seen quite a few ticks in other locations (Parvin, Williamstown...) recently, so would like to keep everyone safe.

This is a brisk, fast, quick pace. Know your limits. If you can do 3 miles in 1 hour with no stopping, you will be fine. No scheduled breaks.

Will cancel for inclement weather by 4 pm the day of.

We will meet in Parking Lot E, which is right next to the Amphitheater. There are portapotties at the parking lot and at various places along the way. I drive a black Honda Pilot and have a long blonde braid.

Arrive at 545pm. to sign in, listen to a brief safety talk, and then we will be on our way at 6 pm.
