1808 TRAIL at BATSTO VILLAGE

Details
This is a 5-6 mile hike at an easy to moderate pace. We'll walk the sand & water trail (orange blaze) to the lovely and historic 1808 trail (green blaze) to the zig/zag bridge where we'll have a break and a snack. The trail is level but can be challenging due to 10 plank bridges, & many exposed roots from the towering, white cedars.
You'll need boots or sturdy sneakers, NO sandals.
Park near the Visitor's Center where there are public toilets and a lovely gift shop.
Note- water at Batsto is NOT potable, bring enough with you.
Arrive by 9:45 so you can use facilities, sign in and adjust boots. We will leave on time.
No guests, no dogs
NOTE : priority on my hikes will be given to those who attend my hikes, OR who cancel their reservation at least 24 hours in advance.
