Let's Enjoy Portuguese Inspired Wine at Morais Vineyards and Winery!

Details
The Morais family has been making wine for over a hundred years. In Portugal, the heritage of wine making has been passed down from generation to generation. Joining this age old family tradition with Virginia’s rich history of winemaking, the Morais family has built a legacy which has become an area landmark. The Winery opened its doors to the public in 2011. Since then they have expanded vineyards, wine production and venue space.
The newest addition to the Morais estate is the public Tasting Room and Gift Shop. This uniquely designed round structure is an elegant and restful space to enjoy a tasting or glass of wine. A sweeping wrap around veranda offers magnificent views to the vineyards and plenty of outdoor seating. They also offer picnic tables. Bring food to share and enjoy the day with us. If you prefer to purchase food at the winery Morais offers several different artisanal cheeses, charcuterie items, olives, jam, crackers (including a GF option) and toasted baguettes.
As a Portuguese inspired winery, Morais pays very close attention to keeping the tradition of the ancient art of wine making alive. Several of their wines are distinctly inspired by their heritage. Four of their wines are crafted without the use of machinery at all which keeps the delicate Portuguese flavor alive in these vintages. Both their white and red wines are delicious and this is one of our favorite Virginia wineries!
