The Pyrenees are one of the greatest mountain ranges in Europe forming a natural border between France and Spain and providing some of the best mountain hiking in Europe.
Situated on the West side is the Parque Nacional de Ordesa y Monte Perdido (Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park). It offers not just some of the best hikes in this range, but is also a UNESCO World Heritage site and has 3,000m deep valleys as well as the Monte Perdido peak at 3,348m high and over a dozen other peaks over 3,000m high.

The Spanish Pyrenees - a mountainous region bordering France and Spain has a rich and diverse culture and history dating back even beyond the Romans and Greeks.
The Parque Nacional de Ordesa y Monte Perdido is the region we are exploring and is a protected area. It is one of the highlights of the Pyrenees and its mountain landscape is characterised with sharp rugged mountains and deep canyons with raised mountain plateaus.
There is a charming blend of ancient mountain villages, jagged and dramatic rocky peaks, lush valley pastures and unique alpine wildlife. These ancient mountains are much older than the Alps.The aridity of the upper mountains contrasts with the green valleys with pastures and woods, where the fresh mountain rivers gush from high altitudes with spectacular waterfalls along their routes, through canyons and gorges until the reach the sea near the Bay of Biscay
Our trip will see highlights of this region, with hikes that take in lakes, summits, waterfalls and woodland.

This trip is suitable for fit and experienced hikers only. These are tough mountain hikes involving long uphill/downhill sections on steep and uneven ground as well as walking/scrambling/climbing over rocks and boulders. We are off to an exhilarating hike up Snowdon where surrounded by cirques, narrow crests and rocky cliffs we take up the summit (1,085m). Snowdon is a serious and tough mountain offering a great challenge for anyone who dares to explore its rugged terrain and beauty. This spectacular range attracts around 400,000 walkers a year and was famously used by Edmund Hillary in training for his 1953 ascent of Mount Everest.
On a clear day the views from the summit are spectacular - spanning across 18 lakes, 14 mountain peaks and as far as the Isle of Man, Ireland and the Lake District.

We have put together this fantastic 2 day trip - we're off to the Brecon Beacons National park
This is one of three trips we organise to very different areas of this fabulous mountain range. This one to the central Brecons takes in the most popular and also arguably the most undiscovered walk in this National Park.
Our trip leader Graham knows his area very well having spent 4 years living close by and he's done the main hike on this trip over 29 times.
We’ll spend the first day hiking over the mountains that surround the Neuadd reservoir. Our second day is saved for the beautiful Llangattock Escarpment set behind our hostel. We'll also have dinner in the gorgeous setting of our remote converted barn - the only 5 star rated hostel in the UK.

Breakfast and packed lunches are included and will be provided for Saturday, Sunday and Monday. You will need money for drinks for the trip and for dinner on Sunday night.
Breakfast is healthy and nutritious - typically cereal, porridge with fresh fruit, berries, nuts and seeds, fresh fruit salad, free range eggs, yogurt, toast and coffees, teas etc.
For lunch we provide fruit, crisps, cereal bars and a range of options to make your own sandwiches typically tomatoes, cucumber, houmous, peanut butter, honey, jam, ham, cheese and salami.
After the hike we enjoy Cream Teas - an English delicacy consisting of scones, clotted cream and jam, a tasty treat!
Meals are meat based with vegetarian options. To find out if the food being provided meets your intolerance/allergies/preferences/likes/dislikes etc, please email us. You are welcome to bring your own favourite items to meet specific requirements and there is a fridge and kitchen you can use.

Join us on a journey to hikers' paradise - Georgia. Nestled on the edge of Europe and Asia, it’s known as "the Balcony of Europe" and holds a unique mixture of diverse scenery - from the highest peaks of the continent to gentle vine clad valleys and ancient settlements. A country with ancient traditions and warm hearted people that is believed to be the birthplace of wine.
Experience the essence of Georgia on this week long trip in the heart of the Great Caucasus Mountains. Dive into the unspoiled beauty of the Svaneti region - hike to giant glaciers, admire the mesmerising alpine Koruldi lakes, and visit the highest permanently inhabited UNESCO village in Europe. We will be staying in the mountain town of Mestia that has best preserved the colourful Georgian culture and heritage and we will visit the vibrant town of Kutaisi, which is also one of the oldest towns in Europe.

Mountainous, warm, colourful and vibrant is the best way to describe Georgia. Caught between two worlds, the country is a spectacular blend of European and Middle Eastern culture with immense natural diversity.
We have chosen the spectacular UNESCO listed mountain region of Svaneti that is preserved in time due to its isolated location surrounded by the Great Caucasus Mountains. We will venture to the base of the highest peak in Georgia, admire Chalaadi and Shkhara glaciers and explore the picturesque village of Ushguli dating back to the 9th century. We'll also enjoy the reflection of the snow capped mountains in the mirror like Koruldi lakes and hike to one of the highest waterfalls in Georgia.
Amazing Georgia keeps so many treasures that it deserves a full week to truly experience it all - hike around spectacular untouched scenery while also getting a taste of the amazing local cuisine and hospitality. Let's not forget the unique wine tradition dating 8000 years back.
Important Notes
Although this trip is designed as a mixture of varied hiking and sightseeing, some of the hikes involve long descents on steep ground and also some rough and uneven walking on rocks and boulders. There are some tough and long uphill/downhill sections and this trip is only suitable for hikers with experience of mountain hiking. Hiking boots ideally with ankle protection are essential due to the uneven and rocky terrain on some hikes.

WEEKEND DESCRIPTION
The best way to discover the astonishing Jurassic Coast is on foot. The 95 mile coastline along the English Channel rewards its visitors with stunning well preserved nature, unspoiled coastline and magnificent landscapes.
The hikes we’ve chosen will take us through ravishing coastal cliffs, an abandoned village with an interesting and surprising history, famous Jurassic Coast cultural sites such as Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. The Jurassic Coast’s marvellous variety of landscapes creates the characteristic natural beauty of the area and makes the Jurassic Coast an inspirational place and one of Britain’s finest coastal hiking trails.

We’re off to the Balkans to summit the third highest peak on the peninsula for this work-hard, play-hard weekend.
This mountain range has a lot to offer and extending over 2585km2 it is truly vast, it borders neighbouring Greece and has over 100 peaks surpassing 2000m high.
Bansko is a well developed ski resort with restaurants, bars and partying to match, but we're avoiding the crazy crowds of the ski season and conquering it's largest peak with a lovely 5 star Kempinski spa hotel to indulge in.
