Outdoorly London is a friendly hiking community organising day hikes from London to some of the most beautiful walking destinations across Southern England, the South East, and occasionally the North of England.
🥾 We explore coastal paths, countryside trails, woodlands, hills, and picturesque villages — with routes ranging from relaxed walks to more challenging hikes.
Our trips are all about getting out of the city, discovering new places, and enjoying a great day outdoors with like-minded people.
🌿 No matter your hiking experience, all are welcome to join. Just bring your walking boots and a sense of adventure.

We begin this rewarding hike in the historic riverside town of Henley-on-Thames, where the River Thames meets the rolling landscapes of the Chiltern Hills. Leaving the town behind, we follow sections of the historic Oxfordshire Way into a peaceful world of hidden valleys, ancient beech woodlands, and quiet countryside.Our route passes through the grounds of Stonor Park, the magnificent family home of the Stonor family, who have lived here for more than 850 years. We then continue along the scenic Chiltern Way towards Warburg Nature Reserve, a remarkable wildlife sanctuary set high within the Chiltern Hills.
We will finish the hike back in the charming market town of Henley-on-Thames, celebrated for its historic streets, picturesque riverside setting, and the world-renowned Henley Royal Regatta, which has attracted visitors from around the world since 1839. Along the route, we will also pass the former home of George Harrison, one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century and a member of the legendary The Beatles.

London Parkland Walk afternoon stroll, A Hidden Green Trail

The Parkland Walk is London’s longest linear nature reserve, following the route of a former railway line that connected Finsbury Park and Alexandra Palace after opening in 1873. Today, this much-loved green corridor has gained international recognition and regularly appears on “must-do” lists for visitors exploring London. Step away from the city’s busy streets and take a moment to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, where woodland, wildflowers and nature create a tranquil escape in the heart of North London.Our walk begins at Finsbury Park station and follows the Parkland Walk through a beautiful mix of woodland, open green spaces and historic railway landscapes. As we continue, we’ll explore the peaceful surroundings of Highgate Wood, one of London’s ancient woodlands, with a history stretching back over a thousand years. Its mature trees, quiet pathways and rich wildlife make it a wonderful place to slow down and appreciate the natural beauty around us.
The trail leads us towards Alexandra Palace, affectionately known as “Ally Pally”, where we’ll pause to admire one of the best panoramic views across London. This iconic landmark has been at the heart of London’s entertainment and broadcasting history for over 150 years.
From Alexandra Palace, we’ll make our way down towards Hornsey, finishing our adventure at the Great Northern Railway Tavern, a beautifully restored Grade II listed Victorian pub. It’s the perfect place to relax, enjoy a drink, and share stories from the walk.

Seven Sisters & Magnificent Cliff top HIKE

This iconic cliff-top hike widely regarded as one of England’s most spectacular coastal walks offers breath taking and widely celebrated views of the Seven Sisters' white cliffs, offering breath taking views of the English Channel, and the famous Beachy Head, culminating in the graceful seafront town of Eastbourne. The walk involves a fair amount of ascent and descent, aside from the relatively level stretches near Cuckmere Haven and the final approach along Eastbourne’s promenade, the path is rarely flat. Yet, the majestic scenery makes the effort feel almost effortless.🌟Highlights: Iconic Landmarks
- Martello Tower (Seaford) - The westernmost of 103 Napoleonic-era coastal fortresses.
- Spectacular White Cliffs - Formed by Ice Age glacier meltwater and sea erosion
- Birling Gap - National Trust site with dramatic cliff erosion (up to 1 meter per year).
- Beachy Head - The highest chalk sea cliff in England at 162 meters, with its current lighthouse built in 1902 to replace Belle Tout
- Cuckmere Haven - A serene river valley where the Cuckmere River meets the English Channel
- Eastbourne Seafront - Victorian elegance with the famous pier and beautiful promenade

Join us for a fun and relaxed sightseeing walking tour through Brighton, where we’ll explore some of the city’s most iconic streets, historic landmarks, famous film locations, and vibrant seaside atmosphere.Starting from Brighton Railway Station, we’ll wander through the heart of the city, visiting highlights such as The Lanes, Brighton Palace Pier, the stunning Royal Pavilion, Madeira Drive, and other well-known spots featured in films including Quadrophenia, Brighton Rock, and The Young Victoria.
This is a social and scenic walk with plenty of opportunities to take photos, enjoy the atmosphere, and discover Brighton’s fascinating mix of history, film, and seaside culture.
