📍 Big Talbot Island State Park
📅 Saturday, November 28 — Thanksgiving Weekend
⏰ 10:00 AM
Ready to get outside after Thanksgiving? Skip the shopping crowds and join the OUTdoorsy Adventure Team for a morning exploring one of Northeast Florida’s most remarkable coastal landscapes — Big Talbot Island.
We’ll start with a birdwatching walk, keeping an eye out for the shorebirds and other wildlife that make the island’s salt marshes and coastline home. From there, we’ll follow the trail through maritime forest and coastal scrub to Black Rock Beach and Boneyard Beach.
Along the shore, we’ll explore the unusual dark, rock-like formations and the massive weathered trees that give Boneyard Beach its name — an incredible landscape shaped by wind, waves and erosion.
Bring binoculars if you have them, a camera, water, and shoes you don’t mind getting sandy. Come work off a little Thanksgiving dinner, enjoy the fresh air, and spend your Saturday exploring with OUTdoorsy. 🥾🌊🦅
