We meet once a month or so to enjoy an 8-10km bushwalk , visiting some of Victoria's stunning National and State Parks. Afterwards ,we retreat to a local pub for a parmy and pint . Open to all keen social bushwalkers. Ideal age group 40+
Our events tend to fill quickly. Its worth waitlisting , it nearly always clears before the event.

Our events may sometimes be difficult and considerably hazardous an due care will be taken to make sure that everyone is supported and safe. However, the organiser will not accept any liability for any injury or accidents to participants. Participants should take care, wear suitable clothing and footwear, maintain their equipment, and act appropriately in their surroundings. It is expected that you are responsible for your own safety. By rsvp’ing to this event you indicate acceptance of these terms. It is very strongly recommended that everyone has ambulance cover, as even an ankle injury could lead to costly evacuation.

Highlights O40BW BC Adventure August 2025

### British Columbia Hiking Adventure — Quick Itinerary
Day 1–2: Vancouver
Arrive in Vancouver, explore the city, and enjoy a Welcome Dinner.
Day 3: Stawamish Chief
Hike the Stawamus Chief for sweeping Howe Sound views.
Day 4–5: Elfin Lakes & The Gargoyles
Begin the backcountry section with two nights camping at Elfin Lakes and a dramatic hike to The Gargoyles.
Day 6–7: Pemberton / Optional Rainbow Lake
Return to the trailhead and transfer to Pemberton; free day or optional Rainbow Lake hike.
Day 8: Joffre Lakes
Hike and camp beside the iconic turquoise Upper Joffre Lake.
Day 9: Return to Squamish
Relax in Squamish after descending from Joffre Lakes.
Day 10–11: Helm Creek & Panorama Ridge
Enter Garibaldi’s alpine core. Camp at Helm Creek and hike the spectacular Panorama Ridge.
Day 12: Farewell Night
Celebrate your final night at Georgian Manor with a Farewell Dinner.
Day 13: Departure
Transfer to Vancouver Airport for your journey home.

The trip involves pack hiking for several days so a level of fitness is required

Nestled in the lush, rolling foothills of the Baw Baw Ranges, Noojee is a hidden gem of natural beauty. Surrounded by towering mountain ash forests, vibrant green ferns, and the soothing sounds of rushing rivers.

Saturday, August 14th:
Waterfalls, History, & Pub9:30 AM – Meet at Toorongo / Amphitheatre Falls Carpark
640 Toorongo Valley Rd, Noojee VIC 3833 · Noojee, AUKick off the weekend with a 2.3km morning walk through the lush rainforest to visit both stunning waterfalls. Expect beautiful tree ferns and pristine river scenery.
11:00 AM – Noojee Trestle Bridge Hike
Take a 6.4km return hike along the old railway line, culminating at the iconic, historic timber trestle bridge towering above the forest floor.
12:30 PM (Approx.) – Picnic Lunch
Regroup and refuel with a relaxed picnic lunch at the picnic tables at Noojee Historic Train Station
Spend some time exploring the Noojee Heritage centre cafe and gift shop2:00 PM – Check-In at The Toolshed Bar Bistro & Cabins
Unpack, settle into your accommodation, and get comfortable.

9:00 AM – Check-Out
Pack up the cabins and check out of the accommodation.
9:30 AM – Loch Valley Tramway Hike
Embark on a 5.3km return walk, following a historic timber tramway route which runs next to the Latrobe River.
11:00 AM – Seven Acre Rock Walk
Drive over to the Seven Acre Rock carpark for a short 1.3km return walk. You'll be rewarded with a spectacular, panoramic view stretching across the valleys.
Lunch – The Journey Home
On the drive back to Melbourne, the group will stop in at Cunningham's Hotel in Yarra Junction for a final lunch together to wrap up the weekend.

*Cancellations made 14 days or more prior to the event start date will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made within 7-14 days of the event start date will receive 50% refund
*No refund if cancelled within 7 days. - You can transfer your ticket to another person subject to notice and organisers approval.
*If organiser is required to cancel the event due to extreme weather, safety concerns or unforeseen circumstances, participants will be offered a full refund.
