​Nestled in the lush, rolling foothills of the Baw Baw Ranges, Noojee is a hidden gem of natural beauty. Surrounded by towering mountain ash forests, vibrant green ferns, and the soothing sounds of rushing rivers.

​This weekend is the perfect opportunity to step away from the daily grind, breathe in the crisp forest air, and completely refresh your mind and spirit.

The weekend itinerary will strike a balance between some hiking and relaxation and socialising.

All the hikes are relatively easy and mostly flat

INTINERARY
Saturday, August 8th:
Waterfalls, History, & Pub

​9:30 AM – Meet at Toorongo / Amphitheatre Falls Carpark
640 Toorongo Valley Rd, Noojee VIC 3833 · Noojee, AU

​Kick off the weekend with a 2.3km morning walk through the lush rainforest to visit both stunning waterfalls. Expect beautiful tree ferns and pristine river scenery.

​11:00 AM – Noojee Trestle Bridge Hike

​Take a 6.4km return hike along the old railway line, culminating at the iconic, historic timber trestle bridge towering above the forest floor.

​12:30 PM (Approx.) – Picnic Lunch
​Regroup and refuel with a relaxed picnic lunch at the picnic tables at Noojee Historic Train Station
Spend some time exploring the Noojee Heritage centre​ cafe and gift shop

2:00 PM – Check-In at The Toolshed Bar Bistro & Cabins

​Afternoon – Free Time & Relaxation
​The afternoon is yours! Go for another gentle stroll to explore the town, challenge someone to a game of pool at the Toolshed Pub, or simply relax with some drinks next to the open fireplace and perhaps play some card games.

​Enjoy a hearty, delicious dinner together at the Toolshed Bar & Bistro just a few hundred metres from our Accommodation

​📅 Sunday, August 9th: Historic Tramways & Spectacular Views

​9:00 AM – Check-Out

​Pack up the cabins and check out of the accommodation.

​9:30 AM – Loch Valley Tramway Hike

​Embark on a 5.3km return walk, following a historic timber tramway route which runs next to the Latrobe River.

​11:00 AM – Seven Acre Rock Walk

​Drive over to the Seven Acre Rock carpark for a short 1.3km return walk. You'll be rewarded with a spectacular, panoramic view stretching across the valleys.

​Lunch – The Journey Home

​On the drive back to Melbourne, the group will stop in at Cunningham's Hotel in Yarra Junction for a final lunch together to wrap up the weekend.

REFUND POLICY
We understand plans can change and aim to be fair while still keeping the event viable.

Given Accomodation is pre booked the following refund policy applies.

• Cancellations made 14 days or more prior to the event start date will receive a full refund.
• Cancellations made within 7-14 days of the event start date will receive 50% refund
• No refund if cancelled within 7 days.
• You can transfer your ticket to another person subject to notice and organisers approval.
• If organiser is required to cancel the event due to extreme weather, safety concerns or unforeseen circumstances, participants will be offered a full refund.

​Escape for a 3-day, 2-night getaway to historic Beechworth. This trip includes two scenic hikes, wine tastings, and plenty of opportunities to explore the town's rich gold rush history.

​Twin Share (310 per person): Two people sharing a room. Features one Queen bed and one Single bed.
​Queen Room* *(300 per person): One Queen bed. Available for couples only (one room only available).

​FRIDAY, 4th SEPTEMBER

​12:00 PM – Lunch & Cheese Tasting: Meet at the Milawa Cheese Company (17 Factory Rd, Milawa). Enjoy lunch and sample their famous artisanal cheeses.

​2:00 PM – Hotel Check-In: Check into the Armour Motor Inn (1 Camp St, Beechworth)

​2:30 PM – Beechworth Honey: Stop by the famous Beechworth Honey shop to browse and taste local honey.

​3:00 PM – Wine Tasting: Visit Eldorado Road Cellar Door Cantina for a complimentary wine flight tasting paddle of their core range.

​6:00 PM – Dinner: Dine at the historic Tanswell's Commercial Hotel (50 Ford St). They often feature live bands for those wanting to hit the dance floor later!

​SATURDAY, 5th SEPTEMBER

​**9:00 AM – Beechworth Farmers Market: Quick Browse local produce and crafts.
​9:45AM – **HIKE - Cascades & Woolshed Falls teturn
Details: 9.3 km return | 2.5–3.5 hours | Moderate difficulty.

​What to bring: Pack a lunch to enjoy on the trail.

​The Walk:
A stunning, rugged walk in the Beechworth Historic Park. Wander alongside Smiths Creek, passing rocky cascades, and finish at the impressive Woolshed Falls, where rich goldfields operated in the 1800s.

​Afternoon – Free Time & Sightseeing:

​Guided Tour: Join the host for a short tour of the Beechworth Historic Precinct, including the Telegraph Station and Beechworth Courthouse.

​****Alternative Options**:**

• -Tour the Old Beechworth Gaol
• Visit the Burke Museum (housing 30,000 Gold Rush and Ned Kelly artifacts)
• Tour Last Street Brewery (formerly Billson's)
• Book a lakeside sauna experience with Stillwater Saunas.

​6:30 PM– Dinner: Meet at Hotel Nicholas (just 90 metres from our accommodation). This beautiful building has stood at the heart of Beechworth since its origins as the Miners Rest in the 1850s.

​SUNDAY, 6th SEPTEMBER

​8:45 AM – Check out of Hotel

​9:00 AM – HIKE Lake Sambell to Lake Kerferd .
​Details: 10 km return | 2.5–3 hours | Easy to Moderate difficulty.

​The Walk: A fantastic trail combining two of Beechworth's most scenic lakes. Stroll through tall eucalypt forests with chances to spot old mining tunnels and disused gold shafts.

​Post-Hike Lunch: Grab a final bite to eat in town at Bridge Road Brewers or the famous Beechworth Bakery before heading home to Melbourne.

REFUND CONDITIONS

Cancellation More Than 14 days Before Event:

Attendees who cancel their participation more than 14 days before the event start date will receive a full refund

Attendees Cancellation between 7-14 days of the event will receive 50% refund

Attendees Cancellations within 7 day of the Event:

No refund will be issued for cancellations within 7 days of the event. Unless a replacement attendee is located prior.

Process

To request a refund, attendees must notify us in writing via email or direct messaging

Refunds will be processed within 3 business days of receiving the cancellation request.

All refunds will be returned to the original payment method.

Exceptions

Refunds may be granted outside of this policy at the organizer's discretion in cases of exceptional circumstances (e.g., medical emergencies etc)

Event Cancellation Policy

If for any reason the event is cancelled by the organiser eg extreme weather or illness. . A full refund will be granted to attendees.
