Gunnamatta to Cape Schanck Coastal Hike

Beginning at Gunnamatta SLSC, we'll head toward Cape Schanck. At low tide, the first 3km will follow the coastline to Fingal Beach. From here, around 440 steps ascend to the cliff-top track that provides many spectacular viewing experiences of the peninsula.

On arrival at Cape Schanck, we'll have a look round the Cape before lunch on the grass at the light-house reserve. On our return to Gunnamatta, we'll avoid the high tide and take the inland track. The total distance is around 16km.

For those interested, we can stop in at the nearby St Andrew's Beach Brewery for refreshments....

Bring along lunch, water, hats, sunscreen and appropriate footwear.

Public toilets are located at both Gunnamatta and Cape Schanck carparks.
