Domino Rail Trail from Trentham to Lyonville return

An early start for this 12km up and back hike on an old rail line which follows a direct route from Historic Trentham station, cutting through the Wombat Forest to Lyonville and return . It is a reasonably flat walk.
MEETING PLACE : The Historic Trentham Train station 8.30 am for 8.45am start . Entrance to car park is near corner of Market St & Victoria st

We will stop half way at Lyonville for a break and then return to Trentham and if time permits have a short browse through some of lovely gift shops/ boutiques before heading off to Lunch at the Iconic Country Pub Pig & Whistle Hotel. This hotel opened in 1887 and has plenty of Vegetarian, Vegan & Gluten-Free food options as well as the pub classics.
What to Bring
Rug up with layers , bring Beanie and Gloves as it can be very chilly early morning in Trentham. Raincoat in case of rain. Water and snacks
