Cape Schanck to Bushrangers Bay Hike & Peninsula Hot Springs

This week, we’ll treat ourselves to some fresh sea air, spectacular vistas, and other coastal delights on the 8km Cape Schanck to Bushrangers Bay hike on the Mornington Peninsula. Lunch will be at St Andrews Beach Brewery. To end the day, we’ll soothe our tired bodies at the Peninsula Hot Springs.

Hike Details
We will meet at 8:15am for an 8:30am start, beginning at the Cape Schanck Lighthouse car park. We’ll follow the clifftop trail towards Bushrangers Bay. This section winds through coastal thicket, with occasional—but superb—views out to Bass Strait. The cheep and tweet of many different bird species can be heard, as friendly kangaroos bound across the track.
We’ll walk along Bushrangers Bay Beach to explore the rock pools before returning to Cape Schanck to tackle the staircase to Pulpit Rock.

The total distance for this hike is around 8km, with no significant climbs—just some steps! Please bring water and snacks.

Following the hike, we’ll head to lunch at St Andrews Beach Brewery at 12pm.

To relax and recover, you’re welcome to join us at the Peninsula Hot Springs. You will need to make your own booking—we are aiming for a 2pm session.

When booking:

• Enter “1” next to the appropriate ticket option
• Cost: $80 for adults, $65 for concession or Seniors Card holders
• Check availability, select 2pm, and book
• Optional towel, bathrobe, and locker package is an extra $25
