This is a terrific trail with some challenging sections in the glorious Dandenong Ranges. Visitors will be rewarded with beautiful views at Burke's Lookout and the opportunity to spot lots of birdlife. Starting at the end of Glasgow Road, the path goes straight into a steep incline up Scar Track. It is then a rolling loop around several trails before a steep descent back down Scar Track. This is an excellent loop for hill training with plenty of inclines to test those legs! Along the way, you pass through rainforest, volcanic hills, steep valleys and gullies. Watch for lyrebirds, cockatoos, kookaburras, wallabies, sugar gliders, echidnas or wombats. Take a packed lunch. Well stop at a pub after for drinks/snacks.
Meet at the end of Glasgow Road at 915. Boots and poles recommended.
