Wildlife:
You are almost guaranteed to see Eastern Grey Kangaroos, black-tailed wallabies, and abundant birdlife, including wedge-tailed eagles circling overhead.
Lookouts:
The track features gentle climbs, taking you past Eagle Point and Mount Graham, which offer panoramic views of the Yarra Valley and even the distant Melbourne skyline on a clear day.
Terrain & Navigation:
The trail generally follows single-track dirt paths and grassy clearings, alternating with some gentle fire trails and short sections along the main access road near the water treatment plan
The track can get muddy in some sections after rain.
Essential Tips
Water: Pack at least 2 liters of drinking water, as there are no refilling stations on the trail.
Gear: Wear sturdy footwear and consider long pants or high socks. Some sections can become slightly overgrown with scrub or native vegetation.
Accessibility: Dogs are strictly not permitted to protect the native wildlife.
