Yarra Bend Park 12km Loop Kew
Details
This is an approx 12km moderately challenging loop around Yarra Bend Park . We will meet at Studley Park Boathouse carpark @ 9.15am start in front of the toilet block near Kane's Bridge. We will head anticlockwise around the Yarra River through the Flying Fox Colony and cross the Yarra River via Chandler Hwy bridge to Fairfield Boathouse where we will stop for a Coffee/Tea break. From there we will return to Studley Park boathouse via other side of the river to Dight Dalls and Deep Rock Historical swimming Hole .
TRAIL HIGHLIGHTS
Dight Falls:
A historically significant weir and waterfall area on the Yarra River.
Flying Fox Colony:
A major viewing area for native grey-headed flying foxes
Fairfield Boathouse:
A great spot halfway through the loop to stop for coffee or food.
Historic Bridges:
Crosses scenic inner-city river structures like the Pipe Bridge.
After the walk we will venture to a Local Pub TBA for Lunch @ 1.30pm
