Join us for an easy, approximately 16 km return, walk along the Diamond Creek Trail, with a visit to the Hurstbridge Wattle Festival. The route is roughly 8 km each way, stopping at the festival before we make the return trip. The trail is paved and relatively flat the entire way, making this an easy walk in terms of terrain. However, because of the total distance, it’s best suited to those who are comfortable walking for a few hours.

Meeting Point & Start Time
We’ll meet at the Diamond Creek Skate Park at 8:15 am and head off at 8:30 am sharp.

Route Overview
From Diamond Creek, we’ll follow the trail through to Hurstbridge, enjoying the scenery and good company along the way.

There are water stations and one toilet stop along the route.

Once we arrive at the Hurstbridge Wattle Festival, we’ll spend around 30 minutes exploring the festival, browsing the stalls and soaking up the atmosphere before meeting up again to make our way back to Diamond Creek along the same route. You can either grab a snack at the festival or bring something along to enjoy while we’re there, before we head back.

After Walk Lunch
Afterwards, anyone can join us for lunch at around 12:30pm/1pm at Golden Hills Brewery for lunch (own cost) or head back home if you’d prefer. Please let me know if you’ll be coming for lunch.

Suggested Items
Comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen and a hat are recommended. There are water stations along the way, but best to bring a water bottle to use at them.
