Welcome to the 40's - 60's Friends Meetup! This group is for active individuals who are eager to connect with like-minded friends who share similar interests. Areas that interest me are hiking, trying new restaurants, attending live music events, sports playing or watching, theatre or exploring local museums. This list is not exhaustive and I would hope other members would propose and host events they are interested in There are lots of groups for up to 50 and over 60's so I was looking for a group for the 40 - 60 age group. I think there are many reasons why people in this age group have lost touch with our friend group or they are just in a different stage of their life. If you are looking to make new friends, build a new social group and try new things then join

River Bar, Dublin
We are booking an area in a pub where members can order food from the bar menu and have a few drinks and go to know the other attendees. As this is our first meetup it would be good to talk about other events that would interest them.

I am still awaiting confirmation from the venue so there is a possibility it could change but we will keep it to the same area. Attendees will pay for their own food and drinks there will not be a group bill.

I am putting an RSVP of Wednesday evening to be able to give the pub numbers. I indicated that the number might be around 10 but did say it could be less or more than that and I would give a figure/estimate on Thursday.

If you say you are going and your circumstances change please change your RSVP by Wednesday evening to allow anybody who may be on the waitlist to attend. If there is a waitlist I will ask the pub if they can accommodate a higher number
