## Monday Nervous System Reset
### This Week: I Say Yes When I Mean No
Part of the monthly series: I’m Calmer Now… But What Do I Actually Want?
There are moments when the nervous system finally begins to calm down… and underneath the noise, a deeper question quietly appears:
“What do I actually want?”
For many people, especially those who are highly responsible, emotionally attuned to others, or accustomed to keeping peace, the habit of saying “yes” can become automatic. Not always because we truly want to, but because disappointing others, creating tension, or prioritizing ourselves can feel uncomfortable in the body.
Over time, constantly overriding our own needs can create:
- emotional exhaustion
- resentment
- numbness
- difficulty knowing what we genuinely want
- chronic tension and overfunctioning
- the feeling that we are always managing ourselves around others
This week’s Monday Nervous System Reset is designed to gently support the body in reconnecting with its own internal signals again.
Through guided meditation, calming sound, nervous system-focused relaxation, and immersive sound bath meditation, we’ll explore what happens when the body no longer has to constantly brace around obligation, performance, or people-pleasing.
This is not about becoming hard, selfish, or emotionally shut down.
It’s about creating enough internal quiet to recognize your own needs, feelings, and boundaries with greater honesty and clarity.
