AI For Humanity: Innovating towards a Sustainable Digital Future
AI and digital technologies are rapidly reshaping our world, fundamentally transforming how we live, work, think, and connect. As we push the boundaries of innovation, we face both unprecedented opportunities and profound challenges—reshaping industries and influencing human behaviour at a scale that impacts individuals, organisations, governments, and global systems alike. In this fast-evolving landscape, understanding the intersection of technology, ethics, and human sustainability is essential.
How can we create a future where technology supports rather than undermines human potential? Through real-world examples and actionable frameworks, this talk delves into how we can navigate the complexities of AI and digital technologies to ensure they prioritise human flourishing and drive sustainable, humanity-centred innovation.
Talk #3 from Davide Zilli, Chief Technology Officer @ Mind Foundry
Agents of the Future
2025 has been hailed as the year of AI agents, with promises of autonomous machines transforming everything from customer service to scientific research. But like many trends in AI, the concepts of intelligent agents, agent-based models and multi-agent systems have been around for the best part of a century. In this talk we'll briefly look at where they come from, how they are defined, what their agency is about, and why things might actually be different today and tomorrow.
Davide is Chief Technology Officer at Mind Foundry, an Oxford University company. He heads up a team of ML scientists and engineers developing AI to solve real-world, commercial and societal problems across a range of industries. A computer scientist by training with a PhD from the University of Southampton, he worked as a research scientist in different institutions, including Oxford University, Microsoft Research and MIT.
This event is organised by Humand Talent and supported by the Business and IP Centre Oxfordshire.
