Developing the Next Generation of Super Project Managers for High-Techs

Purpose: The demand for high-tech project managers is extensive. The demand on high-tech project managers is huge. Acceleration Coach Paul Ovington leverages off his 46 years in ground-breaking high-tech experience to develop Super Project Managers.

Target Audience: High-tech business leaders – Team Leads, Directors, Business Development Managers, CTOs, CEOs, VPs, Project and Programme Managers.

With a mission of accelerating high-tech product development, Paul develops exceptionally talented Super Project Managers - Project Managers who are super-capable and super-talented.

Super Project Managers are capable od handling the most complex of system deevlopment and the most complex of project situations. They deal with difficult customers and communicate with high efficiency and impact. They are strategic in their thinking. They are excellent leaders of a development team.

Paul describes why high-tech environments are so dynamic and complex. He introduces a skills framework and a skills ladder, which can be used to upskill project managers into leaders with super powers. The philosophy goes well beyond conventional project management training. It is more applied and more advanced. Upskilling project managers is one primary method of accelerating product development and making you company more competitive and attracting to customers.

About Paul Ovington

During an amazing 46-year career in high-tech engineering, Paul clocked up 10 years as an Engineering Manager and 28 years as a Project or Program Management. Paul has an MSc in IC System Design, an MBA from a top European business school, a Diploma in Marketing, and is a PRINCE2 and a Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner.
In the public speaking domain Paul became a Distinguished Toastmaster in 2011 and is a Certified World Class Speaking Coach, trained by former world champion, Craig Valentine.

Key projects have included the development of the world’s first Smartphone, the development of the world’s first Bluetooth chips. He has worked across several engineering disciplines, in several industry sectors and in several countries. As founder of High-Tech Project Management, Paul now operates as a Trainer and Coach for high-tech industries. His central mission is to help high-tech companies accelerate product development, allowing them to gain a distinct competitive advantage.
