We're thrilled to announce our upcoming talk, "Social Engineering 101." This meetup is in partnership with the WiCyS CCSF Student Chapter. Join us for a fun night of blending students and industry professionals with some pizza—because hacking and networking go best with pizza!
Agenda:
5:30 PM - Doors Open | Pizza | Networking
6:00 PM - Introductions
6:15 PM - Main Talk
Abstract:
Social engineering is a manipulation technique that exploits human psychology to gain access to sensitive information or systems. Social engineering exploits human trust and behavior unlike traditional hacking, which targets technical vulnerabilities. This talk will provide an overview of social engineering, including common tactics attackers use, real-world examples of social engineering attacks, and practical tips for protecting yourself and your organization from these threats.
