Day of the Dead Festival in Old Town San Diego

Join us for a photo shoot in Old Town San Diego for Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). We have done this shoot almost every year since 2010 and it is always a lot of fun. There will be many photo-ops and lots of events planned starting at 11 AM until the evening at over 50 locations throughout Old Town. Here is a link for the festival and parking:

We will meet at the Cosmopolitan Hotel at 10:45AM. We will take the group photo at 11:00AM and then wander around Old Town taking photos. We will do a loop through the Park and then head up San Diego Avenue and back to the decorated cemetery. It will be difficult to stay together as a group, so we will probably be shooting in smaller groups as the event progresses.

I suggest you bring your medium (24-105) and long (70-200) focal length zooms because of the nature of the photo-ops. Bring comfortable walking shoes because we will be on our feet several hours.

Some special announcements for this shoot:

Parking may be a bit tight, so you may want to take the trolley or arrive early. There is usually parking available in the Caltrans Lot on 4050 Taylor Street, a short walk away. My plan is to arrive an hour ahead and take a walk around. I encourage you to arrive early!

There is no RSVP cap for this shoot, and you can bring family members and friends to this shoot. We do ask that you show up if you RSVP YES.
