**Note: Only submit an RSVP for this event if you’re 100% sure you will attend. This is to allow those on the waitlist ample time to prepare if a spot opens up. We will try to plan other Milky Way shoots if you can’t make this one.**

Join me for a Milky Way shoot at the Galleta Meadows sculptures! We'll meet on the west side of Christmas Circle at 7:00 pm and do a quick overview, then head off to shoot the Milky Way at one of the sculptures, this will be announced when we meet. Be sure you are on time, as we will be leaving Christmas Circle promptly at 7:15 pm to get to the shooting location before dark.

The sun sets at 7:54PM and the Milky Way will be visible around 9:30PM.

Bring your widest and fastest lens, a sturdy tripod, a remote shutter release, a flashlight with red light capability, and caffeine. Snacks and a chair are also recommended. The most
important thing is to be familiar with your equipment, and know how to make adjustments in the dark. I highly recommend getting your focus and settings taken care of prior to arrival (ie., in the daylight!). Use gaffers tape to lock the focus in.

I'll send some shooting tips and recommendations a few days prior to the event. Be sure your Meetup notifications are setup to receive e-mail messages.

**If weather conditions such as rain, heat advisory or cloud cover/visibility may be a cause to cancel the shoot.**
