Let's go see some historic homes in Bankers Hill that were built from the late 1890 to the early 1900. This time, we will only walk in Bankers Hill as we have talked about in my previous Bankers Hill walks.

We will meet on the corner of 6th Ave and El Prado. Watch out for parking meters in the area, if there are any.
We will begin walking at 8:15am.

There are 40 historic homes in Bankers Hill. Will we see them all, who knows. We will also see the 3 bridges, the Steel Bridge on First Ave, Spruce Street Suspension Bridge over Kate Sessions Canyon, built in 1912, and the Quince St Wooden Bridge, built in 1905.

This walking tour of Bankers Hill will observe various architectural styles, including Craftsman, classic Gill Modernism, Spanish Revival, Tudor Revival, Colonial Revival, Prairie, and more in one of San Diego’s most pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods. Bankers Hill was first developed in the late Victorian period. A few grand survivors represent some of the finest Victorian homes in California. They are the Timken (1888), Long-Waterman (1889) and the Britt-Scripps (1887), now a high-end bed and breakfast. Many middle class Victorians were also built and can still be found throughout the community, one such, is the Keating House (1887) now a bed and breakfast.

I have added a link to the Bankers Hill Walking Tour PDF. There you will see all the homes, street locations, with some information for each home and the history of Bankers hill.

I combined the map into one image, which I added in the photos gallery.

Dress for the weather, whatever that will be on that day. :)

Parking: Anywhere on the street. Watch out for any parking meters that may be in the area.
