Del Mar Walk, With a 'Thing' Challenge

Join us for an early morning walk around Del Mar! We'll start at the beach and shoot early morning beach scenes. Then we will head to the village where we can photograph storefronts and architecture.

Here's the challenge!!! Bring a thing, any object you choose, and incorporate it into some of your photos. See announcement cover photo for an example! We did this last year, and here's a link to the album: https://www.meetup.com/pacificphoto/photos/35040180/

We will be meeting at 8 a.m., which will make parking simpler. There is free street parking in the residential areas along Stratford Court and Ocean Avenue, as well as a section of 15th Street. Be sure to read the signs as the parking rules vary quite a bit by location!

We will meet at Sea Grove Park, where it meets 15th Street. We will shoot from the overlooks there, then head to Powerhouse Park for more beach shots. If you are running late, that's where you can find us!!

Medium/short lenses will work best for this shoot (24-70, 70-200 etc.). However, a long lens would be useful if you want to shoot surfers from the bluffs.
