Diamond Valley Lake Flower Fields
Details
Note: The photo is not from this year but the website said they opened a week early because the early rains brought early flowers.
Diamond Valley Lake Flower Fields - After a burst of early-season rain, spring has arrived ahead of schedule at Diamond Valley Lake — and so have the wildflowers.
Join us on for a hike through the popular Diamond Valley Lake Flower Fields in Hemet. Bring your favorite landscape lens. For me that is a my trusty 24-70 or 24-120. The weather is forecasted for a high of 74 with scattered clouds but it will feel warmer.
I suggest you bring drinking water, a hat and sunscreen.
Parking is $11 ($5 for those 62 years and older, military members and veterans), and the Wildflower Trail fee is $4 per person.
Trail hours are 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no entry after 3:30 p.m.
The 1.3-mile loop, accessible from the DVL Marina parking lot off Domenigoni and Searl parkways in Hemet, is rated as an easy-to-moderate hike with some rugged terrain. Along the route, visitors are treated not only to seasonal colors but also panoramic views of the Southland’s largest drinking water reservoir.
We will meet in the parking lot at 9:30.Diamond Valley Lake
