Let's shoot the the Super Fool's Moonrise over the San Diego skyline from Harbor Island Park!

The full moon will rise just as the sun is setting, giving us some nice golden color on the city skyline while we wait for the moon to appear.

We will meet on the grass to the east of the parking lot/restrooms at Harbor Island Park. There is usually space in the parking lot, but plan a few extra minutes in case you need to wait for a spot. After the group shot, we'll get set up to photograph the sunset reflecting off the buildings, the moonrise, and the skyline after dark. Sunset is at 7:09 pm, and moonrise is at 7:08 pm (but it will be a bit later before it rises above the skyline).

PhotoPills is currently saying the moon will be rising just to the right of the county admin building, but we'll see if that's what actually happens!

You will need a sturdy tripod, shutter release, a long telephoto zoom for the moonrise, and a mid-range zoom for city skyline shots.

If you RSVP “YES”, please show up, otherwise you will be marked a No Show. If you need to change your RSVP, please do so in a timely manner. Except in the case of an emergency, changing your RSVP on the day of the shoot will also count as a No Show. Be considerate of those on the waitlist.

By submitting a YES RSVP and participating in any PPS event, you agree that PPS, Organizers, and Event Hosts are NOT responsible for your safety or for any injury or damage to your person or your property, or that of your guest(s).
