Beach Towns with a Twist: Solana Beach
Details
It's time for the beach towns again, this year with a scavenger hunt twist! In addition to the usual amazing photo ops, I'll have a list of five scavenger hunt items to keep an eye out for. If you find them all, you have bragging rights!
Solana Beach is known for the Cedros Design District, a downtown area filled with shops, restaurants, and galleries. We'll start there, then head across the 101 for some murals and beach shots.
We are starting early so we can have the streets to ourselves, and take advantage of the great early morning light.
We will meet in front of the train station at 8 a.m. for our group photo. Street parking is free and plentiful, but watch the signs - some spaces are reserved for taxis only. Parking in the transit center lot is restricted to riders only.
In addition to the beach activity and murals, there are interesting storefronts, architectural details, and street scenes! Bring a versatile lens (ie. 24-70, etc.), plus a lens specific to what you like to shoot (wide angle for architecture, macro for closeups, etc.).
