Join us for an evening of street photography as we explore night shooting and light trails around one of San Diego’s most dynamic urban locations—the Santa Fe Depot and surrounding downtown streets.

We’ll meet at 6:00pm in front of the Santa Fe Depot to ease into the session with some classic street photography during golden hour. As the light fades, we’ll shift gears and experiment with slow shutter speeds, capturing the movement of trolleys, cars, and city life as vibrant streaks of color.

🎒 What to Bring
Bring your favorite street & night photography gear. A fixed 28mm, 35mm or 50mm lens, wide or medium zooms, would all work well.
Bring a tripod for light trails!
Bring WARM CLOTHING as it will likely get cold!

🚗 Parking
Parking can be tricky in this area, so plan a little extra time.

Street parking:

  • Lot 1519 (142 W Ash St) – Usually available and affordable (~$10), but about a 10-15-minute walk.
  • A St & India St lots – Closer (6-10-minute walk), but pricier (~$25).

Tip: If you can, public transportation is often the easiest option—especially since we’re meeting right at the Santa Fe Depot.
