Del Mar Fair Lights! (Round One)

Let's meet at the shooting location (as opposed to our usual meeting spot on the beach)!! We will be photographing the fair lights across the water. This is the shooting location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/upfiupvJgyr3btNT7

After our group photo, you are welcome to head to Del Mar North Beach (aka Dog Beach) to photograph the dogs and (maybe) the sunset, while waiting for the fair lights.

The sun will set at 7:55 pm. High tide is at 8:07, which will give us some great reflections across the lagoon.

There is parking along Camino Del Mar (the 101), but double-check the rules before leaving your car! Last time I was there it was Pay & Display parking on the southbound side of Camino Del Mar NORTH of the lagoon, and free street parking on both sides SOUTH of the lagoon. Side streets are an option too.

You will need a tripod, and I highly recommend a remote shutter release. Wide angle and medium zooms such as 12-24 or 24-70mm will work great, as will all-in-one zooms. A flashlight is a good idea too.
