Birding at Robb Field
Details
This event will be hosted by the Palomar Audubon Society. Good chance to photo egrets, herons, early migrators. Bring binoculars, long telephoto lens, tripod. The knowledgeable event leaders will have scopes and will point out birds. Two species of concern, the ridgeway rail and the elegant tern have recently been spotted. Most of the time we will be near the bike path as shown, but later we will walk to either the
Famosa Slough or the Flood Control Channel.
Bring H2O and sunscreen/hat.
Reddish egret photo taken from a kayak with a point and shoot. You need a special permit for that. Join me for another event that will feature a kayak paddle during King Tides in November and/or the SDRPF's SD River kayak cleanup.
