Join me this Saturday for a street photography walk through San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter and around the Convention Center, where the first-ever Anime San Diego will be getting underway.

The two-day convention is expected to draw thousands of attendees, including plenty of cosplayers, which should bring some unusual characters and energy to downtown Saturday morning. That being said, the event is expected to draw 1/10th of ComicCon's participation, so temper your enthusiasm. :)

We’ll meet by the Gaslamp street sign in front of Lou and Mickey’s bar at 10:00am, and we'll take the group photo. We’ll then spend the morning wandering through the Gaslamp and around the exterior of the Convention Center.
As always, this is a casual photo walk. All cameras and experience levels are welcome.

Transportation: Parking options in the area will likely be expensive, and parking may be hard to find. My suggestion is to use public transportation, have someone drop you off/pick you up, or if available to you, bike into town.

What to Bring:
Bring your favorite street photography gear and good walking shoes, hat, sunglasses, water, snacks, etc. A fixed 28, 35 or 50mm lens or a medium zoom would work well.
