About us
Welcome to the Pack Your Bags Intro Backpacking Crew. This group is for anyone who has wanted to try backpacking but felt unsure about where to start or intimidated by the gear and logistics. Our goal is to create a low-pressure environment where we can learn the ropes together, share what works, and gradually build the confidence to head out into the backcountry.
We host regular meetups ranging from gear workshops and conditioning hikes to beginner-friendly overnight trips. Whether you are still deciding which pack to buy or you have all your gear but just need a group to head out with, you are welcome here. We focus on safety, leaving no trace, and enjoying the outdoors at a pace that keeps things fun rather than exhausting. Come join us for a meeting or a day hike and let us help you get your first night under the stars on the calendar.
