Esker Point >< Costello's Clam Shack, Noank

Using I-395 South, exit at Route 32/New London (left exit), a limited access highway, follow signs for I-95 North/Groton/Providence. Take I-95 exit 88, turning right on SR 117, left at end onto Fort Hill Road, 0.9mi turn right at light onto Groton Long Point Road, 2.0mi turn into public parking lot behind The Fisherman Restaurant. Boat launch is small rough paved in southwest corner of lot.
Please arrive by 10:00 AM and be in your boat on the water at 10:30AM.
Bring $$, lots of water, any snacks you require.
We will eat lunch at Costello's Clam Shack, Noank.
We'll decide on our route to lunch, t/b/d by tide & wind, just prior to putting in. Paddle Palmer Cove, Noank shore (Esker Point, Esker Bay, West Cove, Morgan Point), Mouse Island, Masons Island, maybe Enders Island, Mystic River.
This paddle includes open and often choppy water (Fishers Island Sound), passage through marinas and crossing busy boat channels. Kayaks 10' long and up recommended.
Required: PFD on and fastened, whistle, change of clothes, 10 feet of light rope and emergency contact info if your host asks for it.
Stay hydrated. Dress appropriately.
