Kayaking the East River Madison

This is my favorite paddle. I always start the kayak season with this paddle and end it with this one as well. At high tide and a full moon (we are going to be at a 1% waxing) the parking area can flood so we may need to park along the dirt road coming in. Be there on time and we can assess.
There is a porta-pot there. The paddle is a total of about 9 miles r/t. It winds along some really pretty scenery with many osprey nests and other sea birds. At the end there is a place to stop and eat. This is a tide dependant paddle and we will be greatly aided by the tides, going out and coming back. PFD required and if you want, bring a skirt (just because the water is going to be cold). This is not a hard paddle due to the tides. Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and warm jacket.
