21:00 ClosingTalk#1 Details: "The Best Architecture for KMP Apps and When You Shouldn't Use It"
In KMP+CMP architecture, the main question isn't how much code you can share. It's where you should stop.I'll show two approaches that work. The first is an architecture for a large mobile product: a shared Kotlin layer for business logic and native UI on every platform. The second is the startup path, where Compose Multiplatform helps you quickly launch a product, a desktop app, and even a backend built on shared data models. We'll explore the boundaries of the shared layer: why only use cases should be exposed, why you shouldn't share the ViewModel, how to get SKIE right, and we'll discuss a number of practical challenges of adopting the technology.
Pavel Pristalov is a Staff Engineer with nearly 20 years of experience. He has designed and implemented architecture for products with wildly varying demands on speed, quality, and scale, ranging from small startups to multinational companies.
