Talk#1 Details: The birth of our AI-Dev startup

From the very first idea of building a “universal” agent to integrate with repositories of existing projects of all sizes, through to a working prototype. I’ll also cover the technical and organizational hurdles we encountered while developing the algorithm that finds and fixes bugs or implements features in those projects, and how we structured our initial client-acquisition efforts—from cold emails to landing our first customer through a personal connection.
I’ll share the key lessons we learned—why it’s essential to involve the client at the MVP stage, which metrics you need to track from day one, and how to avoid a “launch failure” caused by feature bloat. Finally, I’ll outline how we would plan the project today, armed with the insights of our past mistakes: which phases we’d accelerate, where we’d strengthen communication with the customer, and which architectural choices we’d make up front to ensure AI-Dev is more reliable and scalable.

Oleksandr Merlian (BIO)
8 years of experience in IT as a developer and mentor. I have built strong expertise in engineering complex solutions and leading product development. I spearheaded the creation of AI-Dev, an advanced automation platform for mid-sized and large companies, offering innovations beyond tools like Devin AI. I also took part as a Solution Architect in projects Product Buyer (NDA) and Mimojo.
Co-Founder of Forgesoft LTD — a company that provides IT consulting and develops its own products. Throughout these projects I managed the entire product lifecycle as a turnkey solution — from concept and development from scratch to sales and marketing, personally handling promotion and deal closing.

In addition to product engineering, I have experience designing and building backend systems and infrastructure from the ground up for mobile applications: Mystery Asker and The Fridge 24.
