About us

Paint & Ponder is more than a creative group. It’s a space to explore our inner landscape through creativity, connection, and mindful moments.

We believe creativity can be a wonderful way to slow down, get curious about ourselves, and connect with others. Through painting, drawing, and other forms of creative expression, we’ll explore different themes that invite reflection, self-discovery, and meaningful conversation.

These gatherings are for anyone who enjoys being creative, is curious about mindfulness and self-exploration, or simply wants to meet like-minded people in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

No artistic experience is needed. There’s no pressure to create something “good” and no expectation to share anything personal. Come as you are, make something, meet some people, and give yourself a little space to pause and ponder. 🌿🎨

Come join us for the first in a series of Paint & Ponder creative expression sessions.

Paint & Ponder is a relaxed, welcoming space to create, connect, and explore what's going on inside your mind through art. Our first session, “Paint Your Mood,” invites you to explore your current mood and emotions through color, shapes, lines, textures, and whatever creative language feels right to you.

This isn't an art class, no art experience is needed! The focus is much more on self-exploration, creative expression, and connection with others than on artistic skill.

And you don't have to use paint! 🎨 Feel free to bring whatever medium you enjoy, whether that's colored pencils, markers, pastels, pencils, watercolor, acrylics, or something else entirely.

We'll spend some time getting to know each other, explore a simple concept together, then give ourselves plenty of creative space to see what emerges.

## 🗓️ Agenda

20 mins | Casual Introduction to meet each other and settle in.

10 mins | Theme of the day, including a few prompts to get you thinking.

1 hour | Paint, Draw & Create. An hour of creative expression. Paint it, draw it, scribble it, layer it, experiment with it. There are no rules about what your mood should look like.

20 mins | Optional Sharing & Conversation. An opportunity to share your artwork, thoughts, or experience with the group. Sharing is completely optional.

10 min | Wrap-Up. A final few minutes to reflect, connect, and close out the experience.

## 🎒 What to bring

Your own art materials (I will have a limited amount to share in case someone arrives without supplies)

Something to sit on, such as a blanket, towel, or small cushion

Optional snacks to share if you'd like

Places are limited so that we can keep the group small and comfortable.
If your plans change and you can no longer attend, please update your RSVP so that someone from the waitlist has the opportunity to enjoy the experience instead.
