What we’re about
🍷 Palo Alto Blind Wine Society
Taste. Learn. Guess. Repeat.
We are a community of wine lovers, sommeliers-in-training, and curious sippers who gather weekly in Palo Alto to refine our palates through blind tasting.
Each week, we explore 3–6 wines completely blind — discussing sight, nose, palate, and structure before revealing the bottles. This format keeps things fun, approachable, and educational for all levels. Whether you’re new to wine or work in the industry, you’ll leave with new insights (and probably a new favorite bottle).
What to Expect
• A focused blind tasting format (using professional deductive tasting sheets)
• Weekly rotating themes (Chardonnay showdown, Spanish reds, bubbles, Italy’s hidden gems, etc.)
• Friendly, inclusive discussions — no wine snobbery here!
• Professional, sleek setting designed for learning and connection
How It Works
• Bring 1 bottle that matches the week’s theme (wrapped to stay blind)
• Contribute $5 (very optional) for glassware, water, and light snacks
• We’ll provide tasting sheets, structured discussion, and a polished wine club experience
Who Should Join
• Wine professionals (restaurant, retail, winery, distributor)
• Students of wine certifications (CMS, WSET, SWS, etc.)
• Curious beginners who want to learn by tasting
• Anyone who loves wine, community, and a good challenge
