The mission of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC) is to "preserve land and restore habitat for the education and enjoyment of all."
We offer 15 volunteer programs - there is something for everyone to enjoy! Join us to help restore natural areas, maintain nature trails, and more!
The Conservancy preserves and restores natural areas with the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Since its founding in 1988, the Conservancy has successfully preserved almost 1,700 acres of open space on the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

Outdoor Volunteer Day: San Ramon Preserve
Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, USJoin us at San Ramon Reserve for our Outdoor Volunteer Day! We will be planting native plants and/or removing invasive weeds in order to improve habitat for protected wildlife species.

All volunteers under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign and complete their release before they can volunteer. Volunteers under 16 should be accompanied by an adult.
Date: Saturday, January 10, 9:15am - 12pm. Please do not arrive before 9AM, the parking lot does not open until 9 AM.
This event will meet at 9:15 AM Enter the UCLA South Bay campus, 30800 Palos Verdes Dr E, Rancho Palos Verdes. Make an immediate right and follow the road around to the back of the campus and park here where Susannah will greet you. GPS coordinates: 33°44'00.9"N 118°19'55.4"W. Look for the PVPLC truck. Please arrive on time. We often work at a different location than the meetup point, so we can’t guarantee you’ll be able to participate if you are not there at the start time.
We will be working outdoors, so please wear closed-toed shoes, sun protection, bug spray and be sure to bring drinking water and a snack. A reusable water bottle is recommended. Long pants and a long-sleeved shirt are recommended.
Activity level: mild to moderate. Please be prepared for mildly strenuous hiking to reach volunteer locations.
