Join us for our Outdoor Volunteer Day from 9am to 12pm at Alta Vicente Reserve to plant native sage scrub habitat and/or remove invasive plant species which will help us to preserve resources critical to local wildlife. Please meet us at the meet us at the picnic tables located in front of the tennis courts next to the Ken Dyden Civic Center located at 30940 Hawthorne Blvd, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275. Please park in the public parking lot located to the right as you turn in to the City of Rancho Palos Verdes Ken Dyden Civic Center off Hawthorne Blvd (Google Maps link). Parking is free. We will be working outdoors, so please wear closed-toed shoes, sun protection, bug spray and be sure to bring drinking water and a snack. A reusable water bottle is recommended. Please also be prepared for mildly strenuous hiking to reach volunteer locations. There may be uphill conditions depending on the work project. Thank you for volunteering to conserve the Palos Verdes Peninsula! All volunteers under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign and complete their release before they can volunteer. Volunteers under 16 should be accompanied by an adult. Please note that events may be cancelled due to weather conditions.
