Help us monitor coyotes and other wildlife in the Palos Verdes Peninsula. No experience required and all training provided. 16+ Volunteers will conduct weekly surveys (weather permitting) November through March- 2 days of training are required and will be conducted on: Saturday October 4th and 11th- A five-month commitment is required for an assigned preserve area Date/Location October 4th, 11am - 2pm (Indoor/Outdoor event) Ladera Linda Community Center, 32201 Forrestal Dr, Rancho Palos Verdes October 11, 8:45am - 12pm, San Pedro (register for details)Please note you must attend both trainings in order to become a Wildlife Tracking volunteer. This event registers you for both dates. Where: What you will be doing:• walk a selected section of trail in the preserve• note and submit observations of wildlife: scat and paw prints • Minimum age 16All volunteers under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign and complete their release before they can volunteer. Pre-registration is required to attend this training.
