Sierra Ancha trail maintenance dayhike
• What we'll do We will be doing trail maintenance on Parker Creek Trail # 160. We will be removing deadfall trees by sawing or moving them off of the trail. This is a very scenic trail with excellent views. Tools will be provided by the leader, however participants may bring there own tools if they wish. The Forest Service had a volunteer crew working on the trail tread last year and the leader was working on the trail earlier this month, so we should be able to finish work on this trail with one more trip. We will likely have dinner at a restaurant after the trip is finished. For more information call the leader, Jim Vaaler at (602) 553-8208 or contact Jim at jimvaaler@msn.com. • What to bring Trip participants need to bring gloves, hat, and minor first aid items. Participants will need to wear long plants. Bring at least 2 quarts of water, lunch, and trail snacks for the day. • Important to know The leader will give a safety talk at the beginning of trip.
