About us
π Paradise Glitch: Leeds' social lab for curious minds
Where different minds sync. Meet new people, make friends, skip the script.
Picture walking into a room where you don't have to perform. You arrive, someone smiles, and you feel yourself settle. π That's the feeling we build, and it's how Paradise Glitch works for adults who want real conversation, new friends and unexpected connections in Leeds.
If you've ever felt that small talk wasn't doing you justice, you're in good company. Many of us can talk for hours once something sparks us, and only need a gentle way into the room. Being a bit quiet at first isn't a flaw. It's often how deep listeners start. π±
π So, what's the glitch?
Everyone wears a "social mask" in public. The glitch is the moment it slips: a better question, a laugh, a strange tangent, and suddenly you're talking to the real person. You came expecting an ordinary night and leave thinking, "I'm glad I met them." β¨
π§ Different minds, one table
We love mixing backgrounds, jobs, ages and ways of thinking. Over time, expect more interactive formats where people with very different views find common ground.
π What we run
- π» Friday social mixers
- π² Sunday game afternoons
- πΈ Women-only socials, hosted by Priya
- π Cross-Wired tables, π§ Deep Dives and πΏ Sober Sync nights, coming soon
Every event page tells you the venue, the price, whether alcohol is part of the night, and how to book. β
π Your hosts: Priya, Tiko and Jagk
Three hosts, three energies. When you arrive, one of us will welcome you, introduce you if you'd like, and keep an eye on the mood of the room. You can jump in or settle first. Both are welcome. π
β You'll probably love it here if youβ¦
- are 18+ and happy to attend as an independent adult π
- come curious, open and kind
- enjoy conversations from silly to profound π£οΈ
- like meeting people who think differently π§
- are coming alone, which most people do π€
π« It's probably not the right place if youβ¦
- are looking for dates π. This is a friendship and community group, not a dating group. Unwelcome flirting or pressure means removal.
- want to sell, recruit or promote π£
- need one-to-one support or supervision π«Ά. Our hosts welcome and introduce people but aren't carers, so they can't look after anyone during an event. A friend or support person is very welcome. Just let us know.
π€ How we keep the room good
- Be kind and respect boundaries.
- Let conversations wander, and let people step away.
- Ask before you assume. Consent matters here.
