New Millennial Parents of the DMV

Just a drop in/drop out opportunity for new moms to gather and get to know each other! Easiest for those still on maternity leave, but all are welcome with or without baby. I've invited people from an Alx Moms Facebook group as well.

I (Olivia) will be there from 10-12 with my 9 wk old son. I have medium length blonde hair and he is a small guy (3rd %). We will try to get the bigger table inside but may have to be outside.

Moms and moms-to-be, this one's just for us!

Dads/partners are on bedtime duty, babies are staying home, and we're getting an evening out to ourselves. We'll grab a table at The Garden in Del Ray around 6:30pm after bedtime handoffs are done.

No agenda, no schedule, no diaper bags (but maybe a few pump bags 😂). Just good company, drinks, and uninterrupted adult conversation, which we hear still exists. The menu has plenty of non-alcoholic options too, so whether you're expecting, nursing, driving, or not interested in drinking, you're fully covered. There's also food if you're hungry. Come at 6:30 or roll in later after bedtime, we are flexible.

Halloween morning, pumpkin festival, tiny costumes. Need we say more?

We're spending Halloween at Butler's Orchard's 46th Annual Pumpkin Festival, and costumes for the little ones are absolutely encouraged (parents too, zero judgment either way).

THE PLAN: Meet us at 10:30 AM just inside the festival entrance and we'll roam together: hayrides, giant slides, jump pads, the corn maze, barnyard animals, a corn pool for the littles, plus live music. It's all included with admission. Pony rides, face painting, and the pumpkin cannon are there too for a few bucks extra. Message us through Meetup when you arrive and we'll wave you over.

TICKETS: RSVPing here is free, tickets come straight from Butler's. It's $18 per person in advance and kids under 24 months are free. Important: they sell out most weekend days and won't admit walk-ins once they do, so book your tickets as soon as you RSVP: butlersorchard.ticketspice.com/fall-2026
Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred to another person or date if plans change, so booking early is low-risk.

GOOD TO KNOW: About 45 minutes from DC. Pumpkins are 79 cents a pound if you want to grab some on the way out (trick-or-treat carving emergency, anyone?). Stroller friendly, comfy shoes, and maybe a costume that survives a hayride.
