The Paris Writer's Group welcomes all writers and translators, regardless of genre: fiction, poetry, theatre, journalism, essay, criticism, dreams, musical lyrics, etc. Attendees are welcome to bring their texts for feedback from the group, and/or to constructively comment on the texts of others. Our membership includes writers from all over the world, though for practical reasons texts should be in either English or French.
Our next meeting will be March 20, in our usual office: the 'salle à manger' of the Café Hugo. The entrance is one door to the right of the main Café Hugo, separate from the café itself. You will see "Salle à Manger" in (literally) neon lights above the door. Any confusion, text/call[masked].
PLEASE NOTE: if you reply 'yes' but are unable to come, please update your RSVP. It's a much-appreciated courtesy to me, your fellow writers, and the venue that has reserved space for us.
--> Repeated no-shows will be banned. <-- I am going to start getting more serious about this, as no-shows take the place of others who want to attend.
Please bring your work, whatever the genre - fiction, poetry, theater, blog, history, etc. - and/or your abilities in constructive criticism. If you'd like written comments on your text, please make 5 or 6 extra copies.
You are welcome to come whether or not you have work to share.
Finally, please bring 1 euro to help offset what meetup.com charges me for hosting the group.
