Join us on this beautiful hike to three small meadows below the north cliff of Strawberry Peak. The trail is seldom travelled, winding through dense chaparral and conifers. Springs of cold water seep into green meadows beneath the granite cliffs. We'll enjoy lunch in one of the meadows and then return the way we came. Stats for the day: 10 miles round trip with 2200' of elevation gain. Please note, most of the gain is on the return (i.e. it's an "upside down" hike).
No pets please. If you have a service dog, contact hike leader in advance. Level: Moderate.
Bring: Sturdy footwear, hydration, snacks/lunch, clothing layers, sun protection, and your filled-out medical form to show the leader (see next paragraph).
Please be sure to fill out and bring this emergency medical form: https://tinyurl.com/ycy985mt Hike leader will check to see you've completed it, then you'll carry it with you in your pack. Filling out the form in advance saves everyone's time at the trailhead. Thanks!
Save even more time at the trailhead! RSVP on the Sierra Club website, sign the waiver, and provide your emergency contact info: https://act.sierraclub.org/events/details?formcampaignid=701Po00001Lxl4jIAB
