A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for level 5-8.
The Pathfinder Society has had a tenuous relationship with the government of the ancient nation of Osirion ever since the Ruby Prince increased restrictions on the activities of foreign-based explorers. Venture-Captain Norden Balentiir has worked hard to restore the Society’s reputation in the nation, and to push the Sandswept Hall, the Pathfinder lodge in Osirion’s capital, away from its dark past.
Recently, seemingly endless hordes of undead have been surging up from the depths of the Sandswept Hall. Norden Balentiir fears that knowledge of this threat from within the Society’s own lodge would compel the Ruby Prince to permanently shut down Pathfinder operations in Osirion. The lodge’s forces are locked in constant battle with the undead, and they need an experienced strike team to descend into the Hall’s lower levels and find the source of the undead menace!
The Secluded Siege is part of the ongoing story of the Year of Shattered Sanctuaries. It is the first scenario in a two-part arc detailing the events befalling a Pathfinder Society lodge in the nation of Osirion.
Who is Aslynn you ask?
Aslynn is a night hag and interplanar trader who became a frequent foe of the Pathfinder Society, the sorcerer Hao Jin, and others. The Pathfinder Society first came into contact with Aslynn in 4713 AR during its pursuit of Jormurdun. While investigating the traitorous Venture-Captain Thurl, who had secretly conducted business with the hag for almost two decades, Pathfinders first communicated directly with Aslynn. Eventually... Aslynn's conflict with the Pathfinder Society unintentionally awakened dolls within a dollhouse prison, once owned by former Irreseni Queen Elvana and as of 4723 AR stored in the Society's vaults beneath the Grand Lodge, into poppets.
